I’m the Coffee Grump. I’m a tech guy, not a sales guy. I love coffee, and I service the equipment that grinds and brews it for you.
There is so many manufactures of good repairable equipment in this industry it will keep me busy for my lifetime. My goal is to post good informative articles that fill in the gaps of missing information for you, whether you are a “do it yourselfer” or in the repair business.
I try to make a lot of “how-to“ articles that give straight-line answers. Hopefully, my articles will go even further to give you some real-life experience that you can use for understanding your repair.
I have more than 27 years of experience in technical and customer service in coffee machinery, and I hope to share some of that experience with you on this website!
My experience in coffee service started at entry level working on commercial coffee equipment and progressed to senior technician/Manager. This has given me the freedom to manage and design service levels, train people and as well manage and organize a service department. Currently, much of my focus is building the in-home espresso and coffee machine repair department.
Before my career in coffee, I had found I was always technically inclined, always taking things apart and putting them back together again. I loved repairing my family’s bicycles, lawnmowers and eventually working my own vehicles. Looking back at how I started out all those years ago, I found that just having a curiosity of how things work and a little bit of confidence to take machines apart worked well to put me on this career to service coffee equipment.
